About Streamline

Hey, I'm Scotty! Owner and pool guy at Streamline Pools.

Before starting Streamline, I spent nearly 10 years working as a software developer. Surprisingly, that experience translates pretty well to pool maintenance and repairs.

But sitting behind a computer was never quite where I belonged.

I've always loved being outside. In 2017, I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, walking more than 2,000 miles from Georgia to Maine. Somewhere along the way, I probably should have realized that a career involving sunshine, water, and working with my hands might suit me pretty well.

My introduction to the pool business came through an old neighbor of mine who has more than 40 years in the pool service industry. He's taught me an incredible amount about the trade over the years and, thankfully, has the patience of a saint and still answers my “but why?” questions to this day.

I've tried to combine that old-school experience with the way my brain already works: go back to the fundamentals, understand the system, pay attention to the details, keep learning, and don't settle for “that's just how we've always done it.”

All that said, I'll make mistakes, I'm human. But if I do, you'll hear it from me. Honesty and straightforward communication are at the core of how I run Streamline Pools.

I also have a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Georgia. I've always been more of a Braves fan than a football fan, but still… Go Dawgs.
